The increassingly popular Flip Top Box, handmade by Lakeland Cabinet Makers in Cumbria is a totally new design of box with waisted sides and no hinges. Yet it opens with a very smooth and natural motion (see video)
Each box is handmade to a very high standard from a variety of hardwoods chosen for their individual and interesting grain patterns. Each box is then finished with oil and wax and buffed to a gloss finish. As they are handmade only a small number are made each time so they will allways be a unique piece.
